Wow~ I am impressed as much by the fact you have space for it! Beautiful! The EMT takes up a pretty big chunk of space in our back room…and the Otari’s went to my house. I can’t decide if I want/need both. I need to get them calibrated and do some A/B testing

Anyone popped in to see if there are any good deals in the liquidation sale? Went to the Nashville store and guitar amps were marked down 5% (no joke) and nothing really caught my eye. They had an old Acetone Top 1 organ but wanted $1600 for it...which is $1000 more than it's probably worth haha.

Little Labs Monotor to take to the studio to use with my Audeze LCD-5’s…and for clients so they don’t have to check mixes on the Hearback mixers (not the greatest) For fun sometime, take that Little Labs to the local high end consumer shop with a big emphasis on headphones. They will either love you or bar you from within a 1/4 mile, that thing slays almost everything out there. Over the past few months I’ve become really attached to my Audeze headphones…I was mixing at the studio this weekend and the whole time wish I had them. After years of struggling with speakers at home I’m feeling confident I don’t need them there so I’m sort of looking forward to taking down the treatment and just having a regular basement someday!

Wurlitzer 200a NO.2 haha! So I bought a Wurlitzer a couple of months ago but then I found a mint one. One owner since 1972, they even got the original recite. Condition is like 9.5/10. So I sold my "old" Wurlitzer to a friend and bought this one. I paid a bit more then the first one, which I still sold with profit so its all good! Wow to have the original receipt as well…congrats! Also whoever boxed that for shipping deserves a prize

I personally wouldn't worry about service/distribution with Dynaudio here in the states. I don't think where a company is based should have much barring on whether or not to buy something (except maybe Geithan which has no distribution at all here in the states). I have a pair of Barefoot MM27 MK II that has an amp that's been with them for over 2 months. They are in America. They don't have a spare amp they can send me. They don't have a demo model I can borrow while it gets repaired. 6 to 8 weeks is their turnaround time right now. If it was my only monitor that would be unacceptable in my opinion. And I'm sure when I get the bill for the repair my mouth will be on the floor. And I would consider myself a "pro" user. Maybe if I posted pictures of Grammys on my Instagram or selfies with artist I'd get them back faster...

I bought an EMT 140. What’s wrong with me. But, they don’t come up for sale too often at a price I can afford so I thought “why not”
I also traded a Stratocaster for a Ford Ranger pick up truck…it needs a little love but I need something for some projects around the house and it’ll come in handy!

I think an M160 is a nice option to have not just for guitar amps but also it can be just the ticket on acoustic, overheads, a spot mic on cymbals, even vocals.
Like mentioned my M130’s a much darker and honestly I haven’t found anything I really like them on…
R92 are cool for electric guitar and probably a similar price to a M160. The Shure KSM313 is often overlooked as well and is unique in that two sides are voiced differently

I’ve recorded them a few times, what’s your question/concern about them? I guess does koa matter tonally. I have done a bit more digging and the ones Lindley were playing were sapele. And he of course sounded magnificent. I am no Mr. Dave by any stretch. would you be scared off by laminate back and sides? Probably going to be hard to find one locally to try, although one place is a dealer for a couple brands on the low end of the scale. They mostly seem to get ukes in though. Cheers, Geoff To be honest the only two people I've recorded playing one is Jerry Douglas and Andy Hall, and both of them were playing Jerry's Style 1 which is from the 1910's. So, I'm not the player and wouldn't know what to do with one if it was handed to me! But I'm pretty sure that one is all Koa. They are very quiet compared to a Dobro (obviously) but have a pretty fun wire-y sound. Jerry has a sound hole pick up in his which really helps the sustain...just sneaking it in helps. I have a terrible memory of what songs we've used it on but if I remember I'll post an example

Spent over a decade on a 3036. I’ve used the parametric EQs and they are pretty bland. But I was also curious about the passive inductor EQ. But yes Avalon and API made modules as well as John Hardy. Probably others I’m forgetting

Make a mono Aux Click on the KIT Plugins tab You’ll see and option for mono in stereo out View AttachmentHave you listened? Does that sound stereo to you? When I go mono with my monitor controller, it's virtually the same...maaaaybe a little side info. And yeah, the mono and stereo are the same It sounds pretty mono and fudged up to me. Pretty short compared to the actual chamber itself as well.

A chamber would have a mono send that feeds the speaker, and the return would be stereo since they used stereo/stereo pair microphones.
Or, simple, mono in stereo out DAW AUX language

While it's very cool that Lynx did this, especially for ATMOS rigs, I think a lot of people sleep on Sonnox ListenHub, which you can load Sonarwork into instead having to use it inside your DAW. You can also switch between sources, solo bands like MetricAB...and it functions as a monitor controller. You can even use your phone or iPad or whatever so it's not on your screen. www.sonnox.com/toolbox/listenhub

That’s a great idea…to make a list of stuff that’s never been used and start working them into sessions and see how it goes

MetricAB also is a great tool, or if you are on HDX they has some AAX DSP plugins that can be handy to have around

I used the Pick whatever to get the Silver Bullet, and the Neold U2A plug-in which who knows might be cool/better/different from the other LA-2A's out there. The Silver Bullet is pretty great, definitely a "better-sizer". Was working on a song and tossed it on with the N setting, Hitmaker 4000, and aspect ratio and it all just sounded better.

Whoops. Bought this Champagne Sparkle Jet. Always wanted one, loved that this one has chrome and not gold hardware. Sounds great too! But I do need to part with a guitar or three to really justify it Vintage, US Custom shop, Japanese Custom Shop? It’s a Made in Japan model, I think from the mid 90’s?
