Will hdmi give you enough pixels, isn’t the Mac display much higher resolution ? I run a 2012 mbp with an older 27 inch Samsung on hdmi. Will likely get an m1 soon, don’t need huge monitor but my older eyes want more detail than 1080 p over hdmi. I get confused by all this:), but 4K monitors have hugely more pixels than my current monitors, will be on sale over Christmas, so the visual detail will be there over hdmi? “ 4K Ultra HD with 3840 x 2160 native resolution (4 times the resolution of traditional 1080p HD) “ This is part of the reason for starting this thread.... what is equivalent to my iMac monitor?

Simply amazing to watch this. The small detail of watching Lennon smacking out the chords on the intro is yet another example of how this group of “non virtuosos” had an uncanny genius for getting the right sound out of their instrument. It also explains why I could never get the intro to that song sounding right.....

I have always had iMacs, as has the wife.
Thinking of Mac mini M1s when we update.
I have always liked the iMac monitor.
What should I consider that I need choosing a monitor if I go Mac mini?
I would like a display no smaller than 27 inch...don’t really need two monitors.
I am also considering Mac book air/pro as well....so Docks/Monitors with that.
cheers

Hey guys, 1. I was never sarcastic, sorry if you took it that way. Light hearted, trying to add levity to a situation, yes, sarcastic, no. 2. The reply you got from the agent is a simple acknowledgment of your reply. 3. I did speak with the appropriate people and the situation was noted and acknowledged. Should anyone need any assistance regarding UA, please come over to our forum, www.uadforum.com Great, so I can expect a follow up from support?

Had posted earlier that I was receiving A replacement unit before you started asking me to contact support. I thought you might of been asking me to contact support because universal audio wanted to follow up the problems I had and fix the support chain but I guess that’s not the case Sorry, I missed that. I thought your issue was unresolved. No, it very much is the case, me escalating it will bring it to the attention of the needed people. Thanks for tagging me in the thread. Well, I contacted UA support, and explained that you had asked me to contact them on the ticket number you gave me....so I could help with my experience, and perhaps help improve UA's support chain.... The reply I got was .... Sorry you feel you got subpar support from UA. Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you have any more questions. ............... No interest whatsoever in what happened, when , who , why... nada bupkis. All along, I have tried to be mindful, helpful, patient... UA has no interest in trying to resolve ANY of the issues I had or faced during the MONTHS of the issue. Even after Drew getting involved. With the possible exception of an Australian Microphone Manufacturer, this is THE WORST customer service I have had in the Pro Audio industry. No matter what I try to do , to help, I am brick walled. One word of caution regards the Motu.
I had a 16a for a few years....stable sounds great. The software interface for routing....I hated it. Have a look at a couple of videos and see what you think.

I had two symphony mkii 8 and 16, fan noise was never an issue and it was right beside me, . Mkii were redesigned to facilitate airflow. Do you never track with UA plugs? If you aren’t using the X, try to demo one, best sonics yet, also received $2k in plug ins, so maybe factor in deal sweeteners if that matters to you? Even though I have been through what I have....I would still recommend the X8

The replacement interface is installed and (touch wood) is sounding and running great. This has been not the best of times, but hopefully it is over. To celebrate, here is a tune done on the Apollo x8.... I love the sound and workflow of the Apollo, and it is by far the best sounding interface I have had... Here's to many years of flawless performance eh? 8) To celebrate the return ... I thought I would share a song done on the Apollo X. It just seems right to me, to share this one.... Its one of my favourite songs I have ever written/recorded. www.dropbox.com/s/1vd6httcj3usbq6/Save%20Me%20From%20Me%20-%20knight_peter%40dodo.com.au.wav?dl=0This is the song "Save me from me" ... it is an extremely personal song and one of the few completely autobiographical songs, most I write have some artistic license but this one is all intensely true. I had a complete nervous breakdown a couple of years back, and got as a present out of it, anxiety.... which is no fun. I found a female psychiatrist , who literally "Saved me from me". I placed my complete trust in her and the process and overcame it, and though I still live with it, I cope and function and have a different outlook on life. If anyone of you guys suffer from anxiety and or depression, I encourage you to seek professional help and know that you can always reach out to me as one who has been through it and has a great deal of empathy for your situation... Cheers Wiz

So you're good to go? So what is the actual issue then? What resolution are you seeking? Why am I here? Had posted earlier that I was receiving A replacement unit before you started asking me to contact support. I thought you might of been asking me to contact support because universal audio wanted to follow up the problems I had and fix the support chain but I guess that’s not the case

Hi Peter, I escalated your issue to the CS lead who asked that you reply to the ticket # you gave me. The screenshots you posted were from different agents. I understand you're frustrated and I am trying to help. So let's not focus on the past and see if we can't get things to move forward. So who am I supposed to contact? As I gave you multiple tickets?

GMT +10 its 1231pm here atm, which makes it around 730 to 930 pm in the US? Yep - 9:40pm on the East Coast. 8:40pm in Nashville. 6:40pm on the West Coast. So if we did a nighttime get-together, it might work out for you! It would just be lunchtime there. Whatever works best for you guys.. I can always get up..
