Makes me wonder if having all those adapters stacked like that would affect inductance or if it's oscillating for that matter.

Perhaps, I misunderstood. I just meant 4 or 6 bnc connectors.

WC outputs.. How many? 2? 4? Do people even use more than one of these? I would go at least 4....perhaps 6. Don't forget a good PSU:) You thinking internal or some sort of external switching supply?

I have 2 x AD8 for 16ch There are no 'chips' per say in the audio path. They use custom wound Cinemag input transformers. The AD8 effectively has two 'record' modes. Low latency mode(non PEP) and PEP. The first is very open/natural sounding without the zing typical of ICs. Cymbals sound like cymbals. PEP initially sounds a little more 'round' but in actuality its just smoother and makes mixing gel unlike any other convert I've ever tried before. I've had my hands on myteks, antelopes, etc etc. Not a knock at those brands but the AD8 is very unique to say the least.
You gotta try them to see if they work for you.
Josh at JCF is very responsive which is always a big plus in my books.

Ha! Not trying to imply one is better than the other. Don't want to get into that pissing match. My setup is all AES XLR 110ohm, so I'm just trying to interface everything without having to buy another adaptor to convert it to spdif. Its all good though

Hi svart,
Are there plans, or is possible for a user to modify your unit to use a proper AES/EBU XLR connection instead of spdif?
