Yes. Enough for my needs. Thanks, next. Yeah for me the biggest problem with Warm is the Cheap Pots and Switches. Nothing worse than going cheap on the mechanical parts you actually use most of the time. I haven't found this to be a problem yet, in fact I love the knobs on the 412. Has anyone ever modded one of these? And I don't mean just op amps. Is there any truth to the Revive Audio mod of swapping caps? Like do they not use the same caps and resistors as CAPI stuff?

Definitely interested in one of these amps and maybe some cables to run my NS10s!

I have to say I'm victim to assuming a brand can be wonky due to a lack of professional feedback. I own a Warm 412, have had zero problems with it, yet I for some reason don't take it as seriously as, say, four channels of CAPI VP26/312. My dumb brain.
My 412 has never let me down, if it's any consolation!

How, with so many people in the same boat, do we allow this to happen?!
At think at this point, everyone has a colleague who has been frigged over by Joshua Stam. And, honestly, it’s embarrassing that we enable such a shoddy businessman. I mean he’s Mercenary Audio 2.0 waiting to happen.
Joshua, I don’t care if your gear is the best thing to be built since the Apollo spacecraft, just stop dragging all of our colleagues down.

It sucks to read thread after thread of people being dragged along for two plus years on a single piece of gear they were excited to order. Makes me glad I got out of my order when I did.
You may make some good sounding gear, but you will always be a terrible, terrible businessman.

sam There are two stages - two op amps - but there is only one output transformer. The first op amp is the mic preamp, variable gain. The second op amp is a fixed gain stage (with two gain levels, HI and LO). The high pass filter is in between. Either way I'm in. Lemme know when you're making them regularly

Waves Reel ADT is my go-to for this. The "2 Guitars are better than 1" preset with the drives down to zero will give you a great tight double, and the "2 Driven Vocals" with the pan spread out and the drives to zero will give you a bit of a loose vibe on it. The first preset I mentioned has saved my skin so many times.

If this is a super efficient way to track bands with no latency and using some effects to make it more fun for the performers, AND it's free (I have an apollo)... I'm very interested. I'm not really into learning a new platform for mixing, but for the capture, PT sucks ass a lot of the time (I can't afford HDX). Never looked at it like this. I don't think I'd ever break away from PT, but tell me I get latency free tracking with some pretty dope stuff, maybe I can commit the tape and summing to the tracks, and then bring it fresh into a DAW like PT and get to mixing, and I feel like you got yourself a stew going.

Well bottom line is new gear is fun, but when you know you have a good system and workflow: why mess with it? Any new gear here is paid for by selling something and the new gear has to add something of substantial value. I hope Luna is a big hit for UA as it has also taken a big risk and allocated a lot of resources to it, but it is designed for those already in the UA world. Once out ( like me), it’s a big decision to jump back in, $1,000’s of $ for Interface(s), satellite , plugs and now possibly a Luna, so what a $7-10,000 decision, not very likely here, but still very interested in what Luna is and does cus lots of respect here for the bright lights at UA: bring it ! This is how I feel about it. I’ve never been part of the UAD ecosystem even though I’m really tempted (it’s the ancient sharc cores that stop me), but if it were some sort of studio overhaul system, I’d possibly consider it, however I imagine the cost to be (ready?) astronomical

A DAW that doesn’t crash? I’m in. A good steering wheel that doesn’t fly off while you’re driving

If you give me a UA DAW with properly allocated resources and the ability to load in other plugins when needed, I might actually take a dive into the UA world. Seems like cool way for UA to do the Harrison/Acustica style thing.
Oh, and let me choose the desk and gimme the GUI to match!!! I wanna turn me some SSL knobs.

I bought it to start incorporating into the rock music I record (think new Bring Me The Horizon), but I’ve yet to use it. It’s still sitting in its box...

Do 500 modules sound better in the Purple? I want the Purple because of all the flexibility and supposedly better sounding, however the API is a better price giving me more module buying power! What say you? A few years ago I would have said nothing but the Sweet Ten. But I think these days, all of the great boxes are pretty evenly spec’d. However the ruggedness and ability to withstand a nuclear blast still goes to Purple. It’s not built like a tank, it is a tank

Hey y’all, we’re going to be in LA the first week of April. If anyone wants to demo a unit or grab a beer, let me know. I just appreciate that the first photo has a MOTU 16a in it. Love that thing. And really digging this summing mixer and that 4ch pre on the site! Might need to get me one

I personally don't believe there is such thing as bad PR... Please make t-shirts available with this slogan printed under the company logo, I'd order one tomorrow. You won’t see the shirt for 18 months!

I like the idea of this thing, even though I think there are a few problems with it. It’s for small dudes with a few pieces of gear who want a fast setup. That’s not a bad market to have by any means. When you consider the middle guys with their small spaces (big enough for drums but we’re using reverb pretty heavily), it’s pretty sweet to switch so fast on the fly with your choice pieces.
All that said it’s juuuust too small for me. And Jesus, why the built in 48v? No one needs that.
Edit: oh yeah. My biggest problem with it was friggin why can’t I configure ins to be outs too? I’m leaving IO I don’t need to be leaving empty. That’s the thing that sucks.

Supposedly the issue was swapped transformer wiring. Seriously how do these things pass inspection unless, I dunno, maybe there isn’t an inspection?
And I know it’s out of his hands but like, can Chile not open my gear up to look for lithium batteries? Or can they at least do it with the right screwdriver so they don’t strip the top of my screws?

QC really is a mess. It’s not just about build. When I ordered my SA2A, I was told months after that I needed to pay $100 more for the better opto cell because they stopped using the other. That’s a quality control AND a customer service issue. I paid it on a promise of a massive discount on another piece of gear down the line (never panned out).
My SA2A came wired with the polarity inverted, as did many. That’s also a lack of QC, no?
I’d order one of these EQs, but I fear that by the time it ship, all of our ears will have evolved to the point of no longer recognizing equalization.

I don’t doubt 2 good 84’s are wonderful, but for me here in Canada they will cost somewhere in the $3-4,000 landed, not going to happen If you really do want 84s I recommend to keep on the hunt. I got a pair from eBay in France for $2700~ CAD said and done, with cases and tuchel to XLR connectors. Even after a service and badge order I still came in under $3k by about $150. Nothing beats the real deal, but I think these Warms will come close

I’ve got the 84 bug again...even though I’ve been through this several times - bought, bought another sdc, then sold the 84 because the difference wasn’t enough to justify the price...then end up hitting for the cycle again in six months. Oh man this is exactly how I’m feeling. It’s taking a lot for me not to sell them, grab a pair of RN17s, and enjoy the rest of the cash

Now that I have a pair of 84s (after a long and stressful hunt), I might grab these to shoot them out
