I LOATHE to buy more Mogami cables...I have a bunch of XLRF to XLRM cables, but need XLR to TRS. Are the XLR to TRS adapters bad? Will I lose quality? I know I'm most likely just being paranoid.

If you have a bunch of Mogami XLR cables, I would consider snipping off the end of whichever XLR you don't need for the purpose (M or F) and soldering on a TRS jack in its place. Or getting a friend to solder them. As you're in Nashville, odds are that one of your neighbors is a freaking world-class soldering guy.

I bought a spool of Canare Star Quad ages ago, and a bunch of Switchcraft 1/4" TRS and Neutrik XLR f's and m's and made up about 20 of each 1/4 - XLRf and 1/4 - XLRm
They have really served me well.

Best smoothest cable to wind ever, if only making the jacket wasn’t as poisoned as drinking a cult leaders favorite Kool Aide.

Same, except I ditched the switchcraft 1/4” for Neutriks. The switchcraft strain relief is such a pain in the ass to deal with when trying to take it off. I prefer the screw on neutrik.

I bought 24 pairs of the XLR-M/F to 1/4 TRS from GLS. They seem fine.

I just found them easier to solder and the solder points were better. Soldering on a neutrik 1/4" is like the trying to glue west surfaces together... witout the Loctite PL Premium.
