I used the logitech red ball wired thumball for yrs then they came out with the wireless one... the blue ball, now using those. The best part is people who dont use them despise so most people wont touch your machine. This alone its worth using. Exactly the same. My wired red thumb trackball from 2000 is still going, I use it as a spare if I ever have problems with the blue. I've been through two of the newer wireless blue ones in the last decade, the switches sometimes go. What I did was source new, better quality switches and swap them out, now the blue seems as reliable as the old red. I have the scroll wheel button set to "Refresh", and the "Back" and "Forward" buttons set to "Home" and "End", and all are automatic for me now. Makes manoeuvring around web pages, DAWs and Audio Editors very easy!

The trackpad is great because with a little practice, I don't have to physically click anything. Everything is just sensed through gestures and lite taps with my finger tips.
