Apparently Army Post Office overseas. I've never dealt with this, but have a high ticket item on Reverb that a guy asked me how much it would be sending to an APO address. I'm a little nervous because, A) This is the first time I've been asked this and B) if you type in "scam" and "APO", there have been scams run. I asked Reverb about it and they don't seem to have a problem with it. I told the guy I was hesitant, and he said it's the first time he's ever had anyone have a problem with shipping to an APO - done biz with VK and SW. Not trying to be a jerk, but I'm just scared of a chargeback with zero recourse.

Never had a problem. IIRC it’s more like shipping within the US, because the military receives it here and it’s their problem from that point. I haven’t looked at the scam angles there, I’m not imagining how that works.

May come down to how your CC vendor treats it.

I have a "no returns - sold as is" policy on my Reverb acct. I checked with them and they said as long as I had that and documented what I sent via USPS, it couldn't come back on me. But why does that still make me nervous. The fact that he mentioned Sweetwater and VK made me feel a little better. That would be a smart scammer...

It sounds like you've done the necessary investigative work. If you dot your eyeballs and cross your t-bones as recommended, it's probably okay. I'd want a signature on the other end though, so I could verify to whom it was actually delivered.

Signature of the buyer isn’t always possible with APO, often it’s just who ever is working at the base post office.

Knowing that it won't be delivered into the hands of the buyer, I'd want to "verify to whom it was actually delivered." Someone on a base somewhere is going to take delivery and I'd at least want to know who had "hands on the ground," so to speak, just in case there's some question of delivery later. It may not even be an issue in the end, but I'd want to be able to show that I took steps to ensure safe delivery.

No returns / sold as is doesn't matter if it's listed as working condition. Be careful.

Well this is good. He independently pmd me on Gs. Don’t think a scammer would be slumming around on Gs.
