I guess I would have to have "MFIT Certification"...good Lord. It's basically just a 24 bit file at -16LUFS, right? Can any of you mastering engineers that are MFIT certified just burn down a version of this song I'm trying to do for a client and I can throw you a couple of bones?

I don't think it's hard to get certified, or you can just follow the guidelines in the description and be most of the way there. One thing that stood out was no peaks over -1dBFS. I don't recall LUFS being any part of it.

Yeah original project sample rate if possible, 24 bit, ISPs not above -1.0dBFS, checked through their codec for no overs, and that's it, AFAIK. I am certified since the beginning (Buddy at Apple sorted me out), but A) I've never once been asked by a client for MFiT, and B) I heard they recently scrapped it anyway?

Yeah, my guy has it in his head that he needs it...trying to talk him out of it.
