As Dr. Bill said it two years ago.
It can make you sick to work in a dark bunker. In first I was too shy to turn my Setup 75° special because the monitors would fire the short side of the room, and no longer the long one.
On the peak of my bunker sickness I decided to take a risk and did a shot into the blue. Just trusting my instict by 15 years moving from one space to aother.
Room treatment after room treatment.
To my surprise this one is the best room I had in my time. The ITDG is about 25 ms.
I never had such a nice stereo picture in monitoring. I have the feel I can grap the players hand....
What made my expereiment a near save bet?
I just choosed the way to do massive base trapping in all corners.
In my back, the black cases are full of rockwool, the middle case is 80 cm in sqaure. The upper white absorbers in my back are movaable on the other side there is diffiusion.
The blue coverd thing is a giant triangle basotect absorber. Bastoect - if angeld - is a great base trap, it may helps that the wood construction in my bak has a wall gap of 25 cm inside 10 cm rockwool.
Behind the speakers its a special wood (sorry I do not know the English term) they absorb between 200-300 Hz and gives back nice reflextions. The wood has a 6° angle...
You can see the same wood construction in the back but thats just stoarge, this room was smaler than the previous one.
I just wanted to share this with you becasue even my mentor, a very expereinced german producer, had a yaw dropping moment when he playd back is favourtie mixes. He just said.... never move out congratualtions....
This will be a happy weekend for me.

Photos aren’t showing up but congratulations! I think bringing the outside world and the feel of the room is just as important as the acoustics, we sometimes forget that in order to do what we do we need to feel comfortable and inspired.

CONGRATS!! Glad to hear it worked out. And yeah, like Eric mentioned, the photos are not showing up. I'm still loving the ability to see daylight, and it's made a great creative difference for me. Sounds even better with my 708P speaker upgrade. Enjoy it!!

Sometimes I feel like I stare out of my little window for hours. Couldn't be life without that little window to the outside.

Yes so tue. I am very happy to have daylight now. Just three days and natural light reminds me on so manny things.
1. To do more breaks, otherwise I do major mistakes because of my ADD.
2. Sometimes birds visit me at the window, saying hello.
3. Clinets say it looks great.... Love those compliments.
My fault was to hire someone who claimed to do it better than I can when I moved in. In the end I was not happy with his "Magic Alex" work, and I did my self the make it dead if nothing helps thing. This ended in a total dark space.
That it turned out so good - I still cant belive it.
