Anyone have a recommendation for a program? I have 11gigs to convert for a client. They need mp3s for web hosted content. Trying not to babysit the pc/Mac for to long.

Trying not to babysit the pc/Mac for to long. ffmpeg and a foreach loop in your scripting language of choice. It's platform independent, and just requires finding a suitable installation method and a couple of lines of code to use in such a context. trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Encode/MP3

Wavelab
Hands down best Batch processor Audio app. Could just do the demo for the one time thing. Think its a 30day one.

On OSX=XLD. Free.
On Windows, no idea. I will watch in case there's an equivalent--I could stand to have a batch processor on DAW machine.
dbPowerAmp says it does...devil's in the implementation of batch processing. XLD will retain directory structure--and basically makes it so that after you set up the prefs of what you want to it DO for the batch, you just drag whole directory structures onto the app and it goes to town with a progress/queue menu on screen. So, do let us know what you find if you need Windows.

Not as far as I can tell ... At least not a standalone audio option.

If you already own it, iZotope RX has a batch processor which can do mp3 conversion.

Foobar is a killer app, but a little bit more on the geek side, I think. Plus, when you compare both (http://src.infinitewave.ca/) dBPoweramp seems much cleaner.

Plus, when you compare both (http://src.infinitewave.ca/) dBPoweramp seems much cleaner. I don't use it for SRC (if I did I would use the SoX component, which does very well on InifinteWave), I do that in RX or FinalCD. But the OP was asking for batch convert to MP3 and I really can't think of a better/easier/simpler way to that than with FB2K. I use it for all my format conversion needs, as it will pretty much do anything to anything else. Never tried DBPowerAmp as never wondered why I ought to pay for something that FB2K already does so well for free. Has been my only player for over a decade now. As you can tell, I love Foobar! hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,67373.0.html
