Sounds good. Sounds like this reverb was "made" for drums!

Thx: agreed I didn't even tweak the settings just how much I sent to aux ! Nice selection of presets for each voice

As much as I don’t need more verbs, this one sounds fantastic and covers different territory. I bit the bullet and got it. Sounds killer Ditto.

Especially if you own the original. Then it's only $29. That's what I got it for. But worth $79 too.

Ok finally downloaded and demo’d with vocals and drums. Wow, this thing is special. I was able to bury a verb behind the snare and vocal making them both bigger in a subtle way when muted the source sounded flat and lifeless. Also able to quickly dial in a big in your face verb as well that’s pretty unique to anything else I have. Immediate upgrade from the previous version ($29) which I never really sorted out.

You jerks are going to make me get this thing, aren't you?
...at least I'd only be paying the upgrade price...

Put it this way, it's different enough and special enough and cheap enough, to warrant having it.

It just seems to wrap around the source without mudding up anything. The position control is super nice.

What do you already need to own to qualify for the $29 price? I've got T-Verb and Ultra Channel so far.

Did try it on LV a bit 80s?? What amkes it a no brainer -sepcial at 29 bucks- instnad 3D behind the LV opens up a nice dimension. I wish I could switch off the modulation.

So what’s in the magic sauce? Is it the analog modeled gritty dist that makes this thing sit and cut so well? Ive ran lofi, saturation plugins on verb sends before which is a cool flavor to add, but nothing with this type of result. Makes me want to demo more Eventide fx plugins. Hmm.

No, I think it's just the original algorithms. They are nice and sparse and sit behind things very unobtrusively.

AFAIK the algorithms are the same in all versions, OG, 2004 hardware remake and the plugins, but the latest SP2016 plugin also aims to emulate the sample rate, word length and hardware sound of the OG in "Vintage" mode.

Ahh... so all the things that are “wrong” or “could be better with modern tech” are the attributes that make this thing awesome. I have the previous version and this is a completely different league. The previous plugin was to me just another reverb. This makes me want a hardware version!

Thanks for clarfying. BTW the modern version button offers less modulation and sounds more 3 D to my ears. Any insight on the modern interpretation?

Ahh... so all the things that are “wrong” or “could be better with modern tech” are the attributes that make this thing awesome. I have the previous version and this is a completely different league. The previous plugin was to me just another reverb. This makes me want a hardware version! Not necessarily, it's gotta be totally source/mix dependent. The Modern mode sounds way better on some things here. With my current project, I am still preferring the older Stereo Room plugin than the new SP2016 (set to Stereo Room). I have found it impossible to get them to sound the same, so am keeping both installed. The new one definitely has a different gain/wet/dry structure so hard to match them (newer one seem about 2-3dB louder). If I manage to match them I will uninstall the old one, but right now am keeping it. The Valhalla Vintage Verb has a similar 3 modes for emulating old school digital tech (Vintage, 80's and Now), that works really well, and their Room plugin also has a fader much like the 2016 Position control that blends between early reflections and later reverb. But SP2016 offers something really different from those as well. I don't know any other reverb that blends as well/invisibly with the source, with the possible exception of the classic Lexicon PCM70 "Tiled Room" preset which was really only any good on drums.

Yesss just used it in vintage mode as fx snare verb with a pretty short decay time blenidng early / late to taste and my yaw droped. Such a nice blend I only know from the Quantec Yardstick, which I guess still is very expensive??
