I'm hoping that when he delivers all this will be in the past for him. I know he's frustrated - but so are we. The whole situation is like kindling - without much room for error. There are no doubt legitimate issues that cause delays...but after all the waiting, when those things happen, people freak out.

FWIW I did receive an email this morning from Josh saying my ADG is ready and my 67 should be ready end of the week or early next week. He gave me a choice and I asked to wait the 5-7 days until my 67 is also ready so that both can be shipped together to save on shipping costs.
I can only speak from my personal experience with Josh over the course of time when I say that he has always answered my emails. Sometimes it was the same day, sometimes it was several days. I understood there would be a lengthy wait that would go beyond the projected delivery date, but if I wasn't up for that kind of wait for the build and cost, I could always ask for a refund and opt out at anytime. I appreciated the offer to those of us with longer than expected wait times on some items to buy the next piece of Stam gear at 50% off to make up for it. While I understand this route may not be for everyone, for me the wait is worth the build for the price.

Lets lay off the P word...I'm sure that's a hot-button...and it certainly won't make things get here faster if people freak out and pull money out.

There are pics on Facebook, so apparently they are now getting produced.
Wasn't it always obvious that the point of the pre order price was to get operating funds to pay for the build and make a profit to support his ongoing business ?
Where is the surprise ?
Yes, the delay was too long, but none of us can change the past and we all need to just move on; get these things made, paid for and shipped.

Wasn't it always obvious that the point of the pre order price was to get operating funds to pay for the build and make some money to pay for other orders all as they came i ? If that's the case, doesn't that indicate that the initial delivery date of July was never realistic and simply a lie to draw in customers by making it appear they wouldn't be waiting very long?

You think he’s building 20 units a day? By hand? I don’t. Well, we are. Well then, speaking as someone that builds gear myself, that's quite impressive. I'm rooting for you, Josh, and not just because you are sitting on a lot of my money. You have always answered every one of my emails and have refunded both times I've asked. The gear that I do have from you is really solid, sounds great, well packed and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I canceled all of my orders(nearly the whole product line at the time) back during the summer. My reasoning was that I began to fear the whole ship was going to go down and at some point a refund might no longer be an option. It could be completely unfounded but it's how I felt. I feel the same way now as I did then, I hope that isn't the case but I just wasn't willing to take the risk. I've always found Josh to deliver the product or offer a refund(or comparable solution, discount etc..). I have never found him to be dishonest and certainly not a thief.
However, whatever the root of the issue is for the continual delays, it could overcome the whole operation in spite of the best intentions of all involved, in my opinion. If I had to guess I'd say that's the same concern for a lot of the complaints you see here from people with outstanding orders. I think the affordable clone market is a great thing for all of us as budgets go down, etc.. but I think it's also totally reasonable for us that have essentially invested money in it along the way to demand a little better than what Stam has given us. As far as it calming down and then getting stirred back up again...it's all based around the announcement of new delays so I don't see how to avoid it honestly. If it was clearly stated you would wait a year when you ordered then you'd have no leg to stand on for getting impatient or mad. It's the continual moving of the goal post that will drive you nuts. Top that off with a few snarky replies here and there from Stam and here we are....over and over. Anyway, wishing the best for everyone as I think it's gotten to the point that none of us are having much fun on these threads anymore.

@dr bill, I was only suggesting that Josh would use the profit from the first run to help pay for the costs of subsequent runs.
Nothing illicit about making a profit and using that to further finance your business’s subsequent production.
Anyway, hopefully, these do start shipping this week and we can all move on.

I think, at this point, there's probably enough units and press out in the world that the pre-order business model doesn't need to continue. Just sell what's made. When Audio-Scape released the D-Comp they sent an email out saying they had 5 units ready to go on sale at a particular, and in 30 seconds they sold out. Was I upset I didn't get one? Sure. But there will be more. They could have taken pre-orders and probably sold a 100, but instead they said once they have another lot to sell they'll send another email.

I suggested to him numerous times that he should give more realistic delivery dates. Every time he insisted that he does give realistic delivery dates. No business can fix a problem they don't acknowledge. But I think perhaps the issue is more duplicitous than simply being overly optimistic. I suspect the promises of early deliveries drives more business. Once he has your money, it's easier to string you along. Yes, he'll give refunds to those who want them, but most people are just going to wait it out.

Nope - nothing wrong with that. That's how all businesses work. But I completely misunderstood you in the midst of this conversation. You might want to go back and make that crystal clear because how I took it is illegal in the US as I understand it.

3 emails sent today, to Camila. No reply yet. Tomorrow morning is the 'send a shipping invoice or a refund' email. This is seriously getting serious ! You have been one of his biggest supporters! STAM 1. Don’t announce anything new till you catch up on all back orders. 2. When you announce a new product take your estimated delivery time line double it, than triple that, very few complain about something shipping early 3. Invest in some software that automatically generates an email receipt of all payments. 4. Move more people into customer service. 5 Respond to all who criticize on line with respect, one of the first rules of business people who read these exchanges pay your bills not your critics bills.

I dunno about all the worry
I am not concerned.
Just a differing perspective.
Its also interesting that a lot of negativity comes from people who have no skin in the game
Cheers

3 emails sent today, to Camila. No reply yet. Tomorrow morning is the 'send a shipping invoice or a refund' email. You can send 20 emails and the same will happen, she is completely overloaded with work and training new people for customer service, when she sees your email she will reply. I can do the refund or invoice if you want Ward Thanks

Already paid in full. And like ericn said, I have been one of your biggest supporters.
