I’m going to chalk this up to somewhat of a language barrier issue. I don’t think Joshua “doesn’t care” about his customers, he’s just saying his ignoring the haters. Perhaps a bit of "I couldn't be bothered worrying about complaining and whining"?

I probably shouldn't get involved, but seeing these threads and frustration, I always want to say something. And really what I want to say is, the delivery dates are way too optimistic, for both Stam and buyers. And prices are too low. If prices were 10 to 20 percent higher, and delivery dates 12-18 months longer down the road, then the company would be solely judged by their quality. Nobody would be upset about not knowing when stuff is arriving, only be happy when in two years they get their Fairchild.
I've seen this in the custom instrument business, and customers are happy to wait longer and pay more.
edit: I do appreciate what Stam has been doing, it seemed like a smart way to get a business off the ground, and I'm glad to see he is planning a transition to more traditional model, no more pre-orders. Meanwhile lots of pics of parts arriving, stuff getting built is how the instrument guys do it.

So I would be “more happy” paying 10-20% more, Interesting.. where do I sign up?

Hey I think its cool they offer things like a $7000-ish mic for less than $1100! And the quality is as good or even better than options in any price range, so how is this even possible? Just simple math is saying, ok, well he gets a few hundred profit each one, so he needs to sell a few thousand to keep employees and the lights on. And of course all the parts ordered. So the first few payments are going to costs it seems, only the last payment is the profit? No biggie, businesses do it all the time, the bank lends the money to keep the lights on. Oh wait we are the bank. Well at least there isn't any signs of struggling... oh well expect for the delays you know. Hmm. maybe the bank should throw a little floaty? Oh yeah, we are the bank... Hmm, uh.. nevermind.

With all the new products, this one seems to be forgotten. Deposit on a pair April 2018, 9 months ago.

Ever hear of the term "wire and gain" ?
Thought so, and there is a lot more wires and soldering and areas to go wrong with that 1073EQ that is still unavailable.
Maybe go with the 1073MPA and get two preamps for the price of one NOW (You know Josh has gotta love you JK). Try not to commit going in, in this case and EQ later in the context of the mix you are going for.
For example you might slap on the Legacy UAD 1073 (EQ only) which doesn't nearly get the love it deserves at a whopping 4.6% of a SHARC. Sounds great by the way *after* the hardware or after the UA 1073 Pre with load lock off (at around 11% rather than 40.1).
I will do the math 4.6 + 11.0 =15.6% and not bad DSP wise with an albeit different but great sound as well while saving you a lot of juice especially if you go the Unison Pre route.
For those of you with 36 SHARCs just ferget you read this.
Pultec or the 1081 for EQ would probably be my next choice depending on the source material and context of course.
It is very late/early here and I am falling aslee

January 24th post in the update thread was three more weeks until the first unit, Josh posted in another 1073EQ thread this morning that it'll be 15 days for the first unit, so the good news is the wail is getting shorter! I think in 4 weeks we could be down to a 7 day wait, exciting!

We are going to update the website very soon and display the month for the next batch. We thank you for waiting a little while longer. regards, mark" So, see above.

Was just responding to the post above mine asking for an update, I don't read that other thread regularly and just saw that Stam update there this morning. Even if it's a delay update, it's still an update...

Posted on another 1073EQ thread a day ago:
"We have started shipping out some of the first 1073EQ.
Our engineers are working on another batch too. Being a very popular product we have a long waiting list so we thank you for your patience. Im sure it will be worth the wait.
Thank you so much for bearing with us a while longer
Regards, mark"
