www.stereophile.com/content/aurender-n10-music-server$10000 usb cable, $8000 optical cable, $5000 pedestal for an amplifier, and now we have this. They claim that they have built everything from scratch including the OS and it seems that they have put in a lot of effort in building this machine but I can't help myself thinking.. 'for what?' I've been trying to understand the mentality of the hi-fi crowd ever since the power cable debate but sometimes it gets just too.. much.

Ahhh, the Audiophilia zone Man I’m trying to justify the existence of this thing in the Audiophile world, I mean I can justify some hand made stuff, and you wouldn’t believe how much time effort and money it takes to get the paint so you can match the speakers to somebody’s Ferrari! This though is just stupid, and I see the customer who wants this expecting Crestron or AMX I intergration and I can’t find any support for this! I have known audiophile who’s priced is based on the I need this many dollars to live the lifestyle I WANT TO, I can sell say 10 of these a year so I’m guessing this guy wants that Ferrari!

Don't we need $250,000 microphones, $50,000 microphones cable etc etc in order to capture sound of a quality good enough for these audiophiles?

26 lbs.
What's funny is they release it with only an Apple I-App available (Android coming soon) - Apparently android users don't spend 8k on an audio server.
I did find the ad with headphones with wood-backing to be.. appropriate!

To bad he didn’t have it built in China, we could do the terrible thing of tracking down his OEM having them build it for us and undercut his price! Yeah it’s a terrible, terrible business model, but this is just asking for it!

I don’t know how much would a couple of nice remote sized cables of JW’s favorite Kimberly AG mic cables cost? I’ll admit every Kimber Kabyle I have used is worth every penny so they are on my if I had a billion dollars list!

I wouldn't be surprised if it's built in China, shipped to south korea and then to the U.S. JUST to say it's not made in China.

Nah South Korea respects intellectual property, at that price they can afford the up charge over China😁
