Awesome Hunter!!!! Look forward to your thoughts after you have some time on them. I was immediately smitten upon first twist, and have been using them every day since getting them. So easy to bend mixes with them. Favorite freq.'s for me have been the bell 45Hz setting (beautiful punch without mud), the 330Hz wide bell (analog tape-ish sound. I have to be careful here.... ), 1.2k/1.5k/1.8k Wide Bell to add excitement where my mixes fell a tad short, and the 6.8k Bell for some nice sheen. I'm using in conjunction with the Silver Bullet Sub and Air EQ'z, and tight / vintage filters.

I heard them online a year ago.they raised my eyebrows but then completely fell off my radar until you Pete and Paul started raving.. game on!!

Thanks to Bill and Pete Min ..MIADS ordered! Did you get a chance to demo them? Unfortunately, there's no demo's floating around in the States. I went on instinct and faith. Happy that I did.

Makes a change from you and Bill getting me spending. ;-) Haha!! Next time you're in the States we'll load you up with gear Paul!!! And yeah, while I was waiting for the gear to clear Customs, I was getting nervous and thought about you a couple of times. heh heh (turnabout is fair play, eh??) Luckily, the duties hit was very minimal here....

Thinking of picking up a pair of these; still loving them? Current HW EQs are a pair of Pultec EQM-1S3s and a Curve Bender.
Favorite uses other than mixbus?

Still loving them and using them constantly. After a few years of use, I think I would opt for the +/- 6dB of boost cut though. They are so beautiful, and can be so subtle, that I think the 6dB boost cut version would have been easier for me to L/R match and recall. After a few years of use, I find it's a rare time I'm using more than +/- 6dB. Like them more than my EQP1a's, never used the Curve Bender (yet.. )

Very glad you like the EQs Changing the dB range is quite easy actually if you have basic soldering skills and to be honest any tech can do it. It's just a matter of changing a few resistors and it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours for both units. I'd be happy to give directions to you or to your tech. If doing it yourself or your tech isn't an option, drop me an email ji43 Thank you for considering the MIAD EQs! If I can be of any help (info, etc..) don't hesitate to contact me at info(at)miad.eu

I may put that on my "to do" list. Sounds like I might be able to pull it off myself. Thanks again for making such a great tool for us.
