I'm trying to find a quality adjustable boom arm that can be mounted to the wall for use when recording vocals in the vocal booth. I'm imagining something that would mount to the wall above the window looking out into the live room at around six feet high or so and that would be adjustable so that the vocal mic can be adjusted to whatever position is needed.
Ideally it would be similar to the segmented "spring loaded" booms like you see radio broadcasters use. The thing is, all of those models seem to all have some sort of table mounted clamp type connection. I need something that has some sort of base plate that can be screwed into a hard surface, the wall in my particular case. Thus far, I've not been able to find anything like that.
Does anybody know of something like this?

Does anybody know of something like this? Those broadcast booms have desk mounts that can be used for wall mount as well!

Any model that you've seen in particular?

But, if I understand correctly, the desk insert doesn't do me any good either. I believe the desk insert is one of those deals where it mounts in your typical desk "hole". If so, that's not a screw mounted type of deal but, rather, something that just slips into a two inch diameter hole cut into the desk top.

Yeah that isn’t clear but if you mount say a small block you could use the clamp!

Drill a hole through the base and stem and insert a pin to keep them together.

You might see if Markertek has anything. I believe they cater to that market.

How high is your ceiling? Hang the thing vertically?

How high is your ceiling? Hang the thing vertically? I've considered that. Though with acoustic treatment and everything else, the ceiling is probably too low to make that work.

I like the idea of that quick coupler.

I like the idea of that quick coupler. As do I!! I'm thinking that 2 of these would work really well in my double-sized vocal booth also!
