I should add, nothing digital has ever been as much like a real chamber, room or hall as Pheonix and Nimbus.

I still like using my bricasti's a lot. Not sure why, but i tend to reach for those first vs my plugins..

The Bricasti convolution samples struck me as more like R4.

"Maybe I'll see you in NYC this fall! " Hi Michael, what's happening in NYC this fall? I live in Manhattan. AES. Oct 17-20, I believe. The show has always alternated between East and West coast, but this time it's two years in a row in New York.

It's now being done jointly with NAB in New York and NAMM in Anaheim. Back in the day, there was one on each coast every year. That changed to one a year alternating because of exhibitors also wanting to also exhibit in Europe and Aisa. This new joint approach gives them two for the price of one.

I have been using Phoenix and R2 on just about every mix I did since 2013. As some others I thought I would use the flattering R2 most, but fell instantly in love with the transparency and realism of Phoenix and have used that on maybe 80% and R2 on the rest.
These reverbs are absolutely killer and have helped my hack mixing skills so much more than any other plugins. I finally upgraded to Nimbus/R4 and am sure that I won’t be disappointed this time either. Thanks EA for incredible plugins!

I decided to check the examples of Nimbus thinking, "well, I am sure it's nice, but I'll probably pass".
Let's just say, my inbox has been inundated with black Friday deals for days from plugin companies all over the world. I only bought one thing - Nimbus.

I'd like to heap on some praise to the praise pile.
I got the bundle from iZotope
first of all, Excalibur really blindsided me. What a crazy/good old school Multi FX box. I didn't know I needed it, but now I have it. Looking forward to getting deeper with this beast.
I used Phoenix Verb and Nimbus very lightly on a track today. Phoenix on the guitar, and Nimbus on the drum bus, mostly dialed in for early reflections, which you have a lot of control over.
Immediately this is what I was hoping for. Basically a room simulator. It made my track sound 25% "More Huger" than in bypass. Subtle stuff but important. Previously I was using Waves IR1 but I think this one almost immediately puts it to bed in terms of power and ease of use.
I've got plenty of other reverbs for "vibe" or character or whatever, this one (these two) are a tool that I specifically needed to have. Since I record in pretty small spaces.
I haven't even tried R4 yet!

Anytime I’ve used Exponential, I got nothing but excellent results. I like all the presets getting you close, and tweak to taste. Killer tools!!
