If you like making 80s styled music, definitely give this a try. I've been using it on covers I've done of 80s based stuff and it works better than anything else I've tried. It's emulating pretty much anything you could want from that era. Looks like AMX RMX16, H3000 reverbs not found in the Eventide plugs, some Lex stuff, and some other stuff I'm not familiar with in plugin form:
- Iconic 20 - Retro MX16
- Iconic 24 - Event 3000
- Iconic 48 - Japanese 90 - Iconic PCM
I found it very easy to customize presets. Cutting away the lows, for instance, easily got rid of what I wanted to get rid of. Most of the time I could just load presets and find a good match between vocals and music. I've just started using the gate and filters on bx console N again, so I might need to go back and try other reverbs, but this thing has such distinctive sounds that I don't think I'll find matches for a lot of em in other plugs. I'm only scratching the surface of what's available in 80s spaces too. This is made with Morevox, who did the Rematrix plug. I've never tried that one though. 80s Spaces definitely works a lot better than Little Plate or Verbtone. Blends with the source better and does more useful things. I'll compare with Seventh Heaven Pro and some others later.
