Just curious what microphone this is. In the older days I used to see Andrea on U47s a bunch, especially for his opera recordings. Of late I've seen him on Telefunken and Boch 251s and this mic. This is his personal studio in his home. I also know he's running everything through an SSL console, also in his home. I'be seen him on this mic a bunch and was curious what it is.

I don't know. Something custom most likely.
It has the body of a c12/251 but if you pause the video at the right spot you can see it has a diamond shaped badge like a Neumann.

I didn't watch the whole video, but it sure looks like a Neumann badge from the side. However it's not a neumann. That's a cheap chinese body. Maybe someone just stuck the badge on - or possibly it's not a neumann badge. Could be any of a hundred different mics or custom jobs out there.

No idea here. If I were going to guess I'd say it's a DIY job of some sort. Under the hood I'd bet it's a 251 clone judging by the color and style of the body. Sounds real nice, if that's a kit I'd love to know which one.

That's what I was thinking too. Was just curious.

There are U47, C12, and 251 style builds in those bodies. Not to mention a variety of off the shelf mics as well.
