I've been told that when BLUE Microphones started producing their parts in China that their sound changed a bit. By sheer luck I was able to pick up an older made from European parts BLUE Bottle Rocket Stage I eBay. It was nice and cheap due to it not coming with any capsule. Since I picked up one of the new Mic Locker versions that came out late last year, I have a whole set of the main capsules. I also have the Stage II which came with a B8 and a free by mail B4. That one was assembled in 2016. So I decided for fun to put the 2 B8 Caps I have (both newly made) and see how different the older one made from parts in Europe sounded against the newer one made from parts in China. I figured some of you might be curious in the results. They both went directly into my Apollo SF pres without any Unison Plugins engaged. BTW, that little humming in the background is my son's baby monitor, not mic noise. lol. I have to do these things when he's asleep. www.dropbox.com/sh/owuzr5m95l8npo7/AACc2_G-WyzRBOXC9Ovbbdfea?dl=0
