The McIntosh tube amps are already coveted. The Budweiser guitar, not so much. [A-B Brewery must have given them to just about everyone.] Neil Young and I have the same birthday and are close in age. Geez, I'm still buying gear. What's wrong with me? Well, somebody must be coveting them Don.....it sold for over $5,000. As for buying / selling stuff, I think we should all be selling gear and buying bitcoin....

Some of those estimates are so far off reality (low side), it's funny. Yeah I'm betting the auction house specializes in trains, most auction houses are either really high or low on audio gear. Seeing roadcases at $450 this early makes me sad I got rid of all the old Cheap Trick and others I picked up for less than $50 and got rid of over the years! Lots of Hardy Pres and Sony Mics, nice to know we have similar taste! If I thought the Pass amps were going for close to the current bids I would grab them! $450 for a road case? Try almost 10x that figure! www.julienslive.com/m/lot-details/index/catalog/243/lot/98538

I wonder if those road cases will hold their value over time, and have any resale potential. What are you going to do with a road case, anyway?

Rediculously stupid prices fueled by fanatics who want a little piece of Neil Young's life..... It's all cool if you got stupid amounts of money.....

I guess that makes my almost mint EMT 140 at $2400 USD a bargain! Of course minus the 'Neil Young' factor.

If I was going to auction it I would just stick an EMI Abby Road sticker on it somewhere barely visible and say I found this great big heavy wooden box thingy in my English Uncle's basement who used to be a tape recordist on a record called something or other dark on the moon side by pink and the floyd boys or something.

I laugh as it’s nice to see the Studers actually sell for a reasonable deal. Maybe even a bargain considering Neil Young probably kept them in good running condition. Each lot came with 24 and 16 headstacks. If they work, which they probably do, they will make someone some absolutely killer recordings, no doubt. Road case though? Oh man

No I remember The History channel show American Pickers going to Rick Nielsens storage unit and Rick Quoteing ridiculous prices on a case thinking, I bet I was offered that case for $50 at some point! Here's the thing with roadcases, they are generic commodity products, I can put stickers and paint Neil Young or BOC on any of them! Think of how many cases on a tour have the bands name if you are carrying production ! Now has anybody ever asked you to sign something proving the providence of a ATA? The last time Clair Brothers was clearing out cases I could have had Paul Mcartney, Fleetwood Mac, Springsteen, Lou Reed and others for way less than the original $450 and I know they all toured with these guys! Hell imagine all the guys who played through the DI's we bought from Clair!

I got a tour of Hard Rock's memoribilia warehouse in Orlando FL a while back. They had a Hiwatt 4x12 case from The Who, similar to the ones that made some album cover.

Ha, I got a pair of worn out shoes that I wore when I walked the halls of Abbey Road. Stood in front of the Studer J37 that The Beatles recorded with. Touched the Studer, all the while wearing those shoes. Any bids? For a small extra, I'll add an EMI sticker. (I stepped on that fucker and now it's stuck to that bloody shoe)
