Just saw these and thought I was dreaming. Phoenix and Peacock are $149. RA is still $500 though. I was just comparing Phoenix to everything else again because my KMR audio order wouldn't go through. Can't believe my luck. The only thing that really compared favorably to Phoenix was Magnetite. But it isn't possible to fine tune it in the way I can with Phoenix.

If it was VST, I'd grab Phoenix.

What's RA? Can't find it under Cranesong on the Sweetwater site.

Dave Hill's other noted plugin. Some people think it's his best. It also rarely ends up on the secondhand market compared to Phoenix.

Wish he would release VST versions... I think he has or had an exclusive developer agreement with AVID.

Yeah, I understand that, and the fact that VSTs are more likely to be pirated within 5 seconds. Would just love to try them out.

Yeah, I understand that, and the fact that VSTs are more likely to be pirated within 5 seconds. Would just love to try them out. Yeah I remember in the early days Digidesign hinted that they were thinking about opening up RTAS as a standard for other DAW developers, This was back in the day when UAD, Logic & MOTU were all development partners and they touted their openness. I will always miss those days, I do wish everybody in the DAW game would embrace open standards rather than exclusiveness. Imagine if AVID would open up EUCON to other hardware manufacturers ! Think SSL MATRIX on steroids!
