So, PayPal screwed up my original payment for my apologetic Symphony MkII 16x16 and I have spent literally 20-25 hours trying to get the payment made: dealing with PP, my bank and visa, finally got the payment to him today: a few days before the deadline. Guess what he refunds it ? I have been emailing him the whole time keeping him in the loop. Turns out he sold it someone else even after accepting my offer. I had also ordered a $500 worth of cable and a new patchbay that is currently sitting at Martin’s as Amazon wouldn’t ship everything to Canada. Not angry Burt very disappointed in his lack on integrity. Ironically, this is the first thing I said to PayPal: your mistake probably just lost me this deal and I was right. Been a funny internet month with USPS basically stealing my tl compressed, the guy who bought my faderport launching a PZp against me when USPS delivered it to the wrong zip code and dude with the apogee screwin me over ? thank goodness for the good new recording friends the internet has brought me! When life gives you lemons:one considers the $2850 usd sitting in one’s bank account as opportunity knocking ! last week Icthought my mbp was dieing and I thought, you know, if I had a radar system that wouldn’t matter so much ?

Thx what can you do, unethical people are out there. THE funny thing is due to pp screw up there is actually another complete payment going to him from my bank account, can’t be stopped and he could accept it but not ship. He has said he will refund, if not I will need to launch a dispute and could be weeks before I see my money: gee thx paypal sure am glad I called beforehand to sort everything out:,wouldn’t want a screw up you know : like the one I have

Do you reeealllyneed that much I/O? With an analog mixing console... maybe so. Not sure if I've been following closely enough but there seems to be a Delta console in the mix.

So, he returned the first payment so all is not lost: ironically I actually paid him twice within the original time frame but how can it possibly take 11 days to make payment in these days of electronic banking ? Kind of obvious how each part of the chain keeps your money for free for a few days no doubt invests it in overnight markets, makes a little with your money and then moves your money along a few days later ?

Exactly, unfortunately. We have laws in NY State against that now, payments must clear in one day.

I guess you answered your own question. This is one thing that really pisses me off. Royally. Banks screw you LCR.

You can buy a refurbished Symphony MkII 16x16 with full warranty direct from apogee for not much more than just the card from Sweetwater, if I then sell my chassis it will be a fair bit cheaper but thx for the suggestion !
