So I've been going through the tedious process of upgrading all my software after buying a new computer. I'm finally at 64 bit. Alot of my NI vsti's don't work anymore and need to be upgraded. I use Battery 3 the most out of any sampler but I'm wondering if anyone has any other recommendations I should be considering? It'll cost $99 for me to upgrade to Battery 4.
Now, I also need to upgrade to Reason 10 (from version 4). Will the samplers in Reason have me covered? I have my own custom percussion sounds that I've recorded over the years that I want to load into a drum sampler, along with some classic emulations such as 808 kicks etc. I'm not as familiar with Reasons new samplers (Kong etc) but I'm thinking these may do the trick.

I own Reason, and expect Kong would do the trick, but honestly haven't tried it. On the other hand, I always felt that when I loaded my custom samples into Redrum the audio quality suffered a bit.

Thanks for the input.
To compound things even more, I just found out I can upgrade the stock Cubase drum sampler, Groove Agent Se, to full Verison 4 for $99 also and it can do what I want but also includes virtual drumming, which I used from time to time with Groove Agent 3.
Additionally, I can upgrade by entire Komplete 5 bundle to Komplete 11 for $199, which would give me the latest versions of everything, and some new vsti's that I may use. . .
This whole thing is making my head hurt (and my wallet). One upgrade leads to another. I'm falling down the rabbit hole here, which is what I was scared of when I started this upgrade process. From a work flow perspective I want to keep things as simple as possible. Keeping the least amount of vsti's, limiting my options to the essential few great sounding sound banks/libraries/vsti's etc.
I really believe that in today's climate of endless options, that imposing self limitations is a good thing. Yes, this is a cry for help.
