Some people at the Purple Place are saying that they're not getting the deal, but I got it. First time it's been unbundled AFAIK.

Thanks for the tip. Got the Slate VMR SSL eq, but not this channel. For the price, wtf.

I think my first paid after-market plug was Waves, and I ended up buying a half dozen or so of them. They were nice, but over time I found myself using them less and less as I realized that the stock Logic plugs were just as good, and in many ways easier to use. I still do use third party stuff - specialty items like Bark of the Dog and soothe come to mind, but I'm getting to the point where, as a songwriter putting together a catalog of my songs, I'm more focused on developing and maintaining a 'sound.' Rather than looking for a wealth of options - I'm seeking a finite set of tools that gets the job done, and that makes it easier to take a pass on a lot of these things. Now, and especially that I have the Slate Suite, I have to admit it's less tempting to pick up these cheap one-offs. Think of all the classic recordings many here consider as "benchmarks" that were recorded with one board and a rack or two of hardware. Why can't I work with what I have?

At Audiodeluxe use coupon code DK39S on top of the SUMMER2017 one that's applied at the checkout. It makes it $22.

Vincent ftw, 22 bucks.. that's less than the vodka I'll be buying this evening.
Now I can really compare the softube SSL to waves!

I picked it up as well. Sounds good, did a nice thing to a lead vocal, lil compression, lil eq....

Still waiting for the big sell off of all the Waves SSL bundle! It will happen after plugins no longer exist and everything goes back to the way it used to be...lol

Still waiting for the big sell off of all the Waves SSL bundle! It will happen after plugins no longer exist and everything goes back to the way it used to be...lol Most places had the bundle for $179 recently a couple months ago and some of those plugin sites offered further discounts 🤘
