Last we heard from them, they were in the process of amassing parts to build up a few units. There was only a prototype available at that time...this was about six weeks ago. As we are a dealer of theirs, I'll check in to get an update and report back. The feedback we've received just on the visuals of this unit is either love it or hate it....very aesthetically interesting in either case.

So you're a dealer for a company that does not have any apparent product line, just a single prototype? That prototype appears to be for sale in many different places. The Vimeo promo video doesn't reveal much, for the most part it describes every known tube preamp in the most generic sort of way. 'Cascode' and 'flat 50-20kHz' is all I get out of it, along with 'dual triode' 'Cinemag' and 'Edcor' on the wordpress site. Paired with the WA-414 conversation, it's a funny opposite; not claiming to be a clone of anything, but also not really telling you what it is either. Gain #s? Gain structure? Need to know more for sure. The look pushes the norm, I'm not against it. Not totally wild about it either. Maybe I'm the first with a middle of the road read. The wing nuts holding the front panel on (apparently) give pause for concern. Something about that reminds me of the furniture company that got a makeover by an ad agency, had all the delivery trucks painted black, then the additional heat build up ruined all the furniture in transit. Really!

Really! Sorry it took so long to get back here. I fully agree....we have removed ABA from our website and Reverb until we can confirm that these pre's will actually be built. When we initially reached out to them, they had a plan to build up a few units and we were excited to get one to hear. Historically, that's how we usually do business, need to hear, see and touch the gear before we get behind it. This unit seemed so different in style that we had a feeling it may get a lot of interest...love it or hate it. And that is what happened. For a few months, at the end of 2016, we had interest and inquiries on it, but got very frustrated when we could not comment about it in any way as we had not had one in our hands. This is still the case today, in April 2017. So for now, we will treat this company and preamp as something that seems cool, but not available.
