I heard a couple snap, crackles and pops that were in there...maybe it was just on playback. I wasn't seeing any spikes when I was hearing them though...weird. Is it not on the recording with the plug? Seems like there was definitely one pop.

Let me know what you think of the Sknote plugin! I am currently reviewing a 176 styled plugin from another company, and it seems to be lacking in the saturation department. I would love a really kick ass vari-mu plugin of that variety that isn't your typical Fairchild or Manley emulation. MJUC from klanghelm

plugin sounds pretty good but it can't warm up your room like the hardware which is a great bonus during winter (hardware owner here btw)

I believe he was referring to the 176 as per the quoted text, and the Mk.2 MJUC is meant to be a functional representation of the 175/176 (even though it is visually styled after an Altec). klanghelm.com/contents/products/MJUC/MJUC_models.php

Does anyone know if SKnote sends you a license?
I bought the Dolby A but never got a license. It loads, but the gain knob maxes out everytime I close and open the plugin. Sounded like a license issue when it does crazy stuff like that.
I can't find a contact email for them anywhere. If anyone has it, I'd appreciate it.

Johnkenn what do you think of the 6386?
My Retro STA Level (which I'm using with a BAE 1073D and Wunder CM7) has the standard valve configuration and to my ear sounds incredibly smooth and very coloured in a beautiful way.
What does the 6386 bring to the table in comparison to the standard GR valves in the STA?
Do you use the 6386 in addition to the std valves or does it replace them?
Thanks

The 6386 just sounds a little smoother - although, who knows - maybe that's just confirmation bias on my part.

I have 6386 in mine. Mid honk? I'd say they either haven't used the unit and trolling or something is broken.

Jerome I didn't get a license with any of the plugs I have bought, though my name is nicely stenciled on each to show ownership.

The Sknote is not based on the exact same Unit you own?
