So as a follow up to kcatthedog logic latency issue I have my own issue. I'm running logic 10.1.2 Apogee symphony mk1 16x16 card and 8x8 analog card with 8x8 adat too I have the powerplay 16 rack mount being fed 8 channels adat from my symphony card 2. I'm sending the channels out of logic using the outs 25-32 which are my adat outs in maestro. Upon playback/recording I am experiencing glitches pops and latency in the headphone mixes. I am just using an inexpensive hosa 3' adat cable which works fine for other applications such as going from my computer to my apple airplay etc Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.

Sounds like the clock on the power play needs to be set to external.

Sounds like the clock on the power play needs to be set to external. There aren't options on the box and haven't found any drivers either. Can I force it with the apogee somehow?

Hardware buffer to small ( sample ) ? I get glitches n pops sometimes in big sessions when trying to overdub late in the mix. Usually happens when I try 64 samples- 128-256 usually is fine though.. Ableton Live does this as well and sometimes a simple save and close the app then re-open works wonders 😂

ya increase the buffer and is the latency through your headphones or monitors and where are they placed in your maestro output routing ? lined up with your outputs 1/2 or one of your mixers ?

Well it seems to depend on the order I turn them on. If I turn the pp16 on first, then the apogee seems to not give me problems. That's helpful to know...

Is the power play getting the word clock via ADAT? Clocking via ADAT is a PITA, and has led to more digital gear being replaced than any other issue I know of ! If you have the option of using a seperate word clock connection use it !
