Oh is this now an olive branch for those that let their subscription lapse?

I bet renewals rates are falling as peeps reconsider costs.
I bought once at $99, also bought logic at $200: stopped using PT completely.
So, avid lost me. If I was spending more on daws, it would be on studio-one not PT.

Pretty much impossible to beat logic's $200. well, maybe Reaper's $60. Especially since so much music being released today doesn't need HDX or tons of outboard to be sold to TV shows or commercials. It really is all about having tons of ram, SSD drives and tons of sample libraries.

If I had to do it all over again, I would probably go the Logic route. But I know Cubase and Pro Tools backwards and forwards...and then I get on a logic and I'm slow as hell. Lots of fun toys in Logic.

I've used PT, Cubase and Studio One forever.. I bought Logic about a year ago(?) and Im completely lost trying to do the most basic things I could easily figure out in all the previously mentioned DAW's. However, Logic has so many cool instruments, FX, etc. that I discovered before giving up. What a shame! Im not willing to learn the Logic workflow!

I always thought the name "Logic" was kind of insane. Totally illogical to me as well. I never tried really hard though. A couple of sessions was enough to turn me off.

I'l admit, my first 3 months or so in Logic were very confounding, but , of course, that was because it wasn't protools Here is what saved me !! www.youtube.com/user/MusicTechHelpGuyIf this guy doesn't have a video about it, its not worth knowing in logic !

This whole deal reeks of a sales Winnie who hasn't made his nut and starts cold calling and is wheeling and dealing! Got a move some boxes to keep the lights on pay the rent and stay employed!😁

Yeah they had this same deal a few months ago. I bet people just aren't buying.
I'm really unlikely to learn another DAW at this point, I'm too fast and efficient in Pro Tools and all the people, for the most part, I collaborate with use PT. I like the product, just don't like Avid much.
Every time they do one of these deals it's a yawn to me. I'll stick with PT11 until I'm forced to upgrade/move on or someone else takes PT over and starts running it sensibly.
