I am having serious problems with PC based Cubase 8 working with Drumagog 5.21 Platinum. Everything is 64 bit and in the right directories. I periodically get a "Serious Error" from Cubase as I try to instantiate Drumagog . The Drumagog people told me to increase the buffer, but that doesn't help- and the session right now is only 12 audio tracks. I do 40+ tracks with all kinds of plugins and hardware inserts and have no "Serious Error" problems when using any plugins/VST's or hardware inserts with Cubase 8.. So, it's not my system. Cubase 8 and Drumagog just don't seem to like each other.
So, I'm wondering for you people that have Slate Trigger how it is working with your system.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I got trigger, because it was cheap for full version.drumagog's Dynamic hits always caused huge latency so I had to turn it off. Slate has better support. Both are easy to use out of the box

Why would you not use Cubase's built in ability to generate MIDI from the track? That what I used for years....and now use the same function in Logic. But, then--I rarely "replace" drums....I'm augmenting with samples where slight timing difference won't matter....room mic samples....a kick out mic if all I've got in a kick in without any gravitas....but, I've also left the close mic sample up temporarily and it sounds fine blended with the original, so it must BE fairly accurate. I always figure these are plug ins bought by people because they're been using them for years (and just keep upgrading and using them) or use a less mature DAW.

I too have had good experiences using Logic's audio to midi replacement function and Logic's drum samples and mixing with the real trax like pop man and I use Wiz's trick of then quantizing the kick and maybe the snare, but I like that mix of the quantized locked in kick and the real playing .
