Its Apple I never saw them coming with something straight on. I will never forget the 2 year trouble from Logic 7 to 8.
Since then I only start to use the last version if a new one hits the road. I this case I can be sure 95% of the bugs are gone...

I just went for it, as I have no commercial projects right now with deadlines and I can afford to do some fixing, etc.
I really like the flat UI (but my day job is in IT and I like modern UI's) It's faster to open projects It's faster to create waveform previews I like the new tooltips and menu's on groups/buses what show you the names you have configured not just numbers Mixer plugin tooltip now includes info on the latency created by the plugin
So far I have only had 2 issues: 1. I had to completely remove my RND 5060 USB controller config as it went haywire. I tried re-creating the config I had set up but in the end the solution was to just plug it in and start using it. Literally plug & play :-) 2. I have had a couple of times where when starting a just-loaded project, the playback latency on tracks with many plugins (normally vocals) don't seem to have the delay compensation working properly. The solution is to stop and start and after that it is fine and it does not re-occur on that project.
Overall very pleased. The list of items fixed is very long so a lot of effort went into this upgrade from the Apple side.
