Cool. After reading Bob O's recent post on dither I've been thinking that I could use a good basic dither plug.

Dont forget to support Chris, if he reaches his patreon goal nearly all of his plug ins will be for free. He got a few outstanding tools.

I downloaded Not Just Another Dither along with his other free plugs last night and made a donation. I placed it on the output of a couple of tracks headed out to my console and can't say that I could hear a difference, but maybe as the tracks compile it will be more noticeable. I also couldn't hear any difference when I added the console plugin to the chain. I thought that was strange.

Calibrate your ears to the verbs, space and dimension of your mix and try the dither plug ins....you will hear a diffrence ... Paul Dither also helps the lower mid range, not just another dither is more HIFI. I was able to hear it with my first own mastering work. I noticed that the HF range changed with some dithers... Since Bob taught us to use one in mixing too, because there is truncation going down tonthe DA, I am very happy with the free dithers by Airwindows.

Thanks. I look forward to using it more. Do you find Console4 to be pretty subtle? Maybe it's another one that I need to listen to some more.

I found that using Console in a mix with a large number of tracks made it easier to identify what it was doing. It's a subtle touch.
