Probably years late to this party, I'm trying to do something different than metal.. A bit outside of my usual expertise, looking to do a bit o' pop rock with some gritty up front modern sounding guitars.
Wasn't getting what I wanted out of the Kemper, so thought I'd try Scuffham out the many recommendations I've seen over the years.. Good ain't it?
I gotta try it again. I fired it up for a few minutes when I had free Everything Bundle, cringed, moved on. Admittedly it was a super quick test and I'm biased because I've never gotten a single tone out of an amp sim I could live with.
Hmmm. I've used it quite a bit, but never been all that impressed with anything other than the fender tweed emulation. I also don't spend a lot of time tweaking knobs.
Just yesterday had a scuffham moment for about 30 seconds... and than I switched back to the real amp and work was done in no time.... All those amp simulators don't have balls.... they sound thin and boring....
