I like Soniccouture but, man, do I need another Grand? My father had one single Steinway Grand all his life and still plays it and that one piano was more than enough for me when I was a kid.

gotcha. I needed another Grand like I needed another hole in my head. that said, for me (FOR ME), I hit the jackpot here. this one is the one I've been looking for, the last many that I bought. I just got CFX and I love it. I like Pianoteq 5 alot. Keyscape's acoustic pianos are good (remember this is all just my humble amateur opinion). but Hammersmith? I'm ecstatic about it. plain, simple. I researched it like mad before buying it. read a lot of negative stuff. almost didn't buy it. a guy at Keyboard Corner made an interesting comment, positive comment. I took the risk. I'm all set. I am soooo loving life here. I cannot wait to play it again. btw, its my first Soniccouture, and also first Kontakt thing.

Great. Good to hear it works for you. If you find something that fits, grab it and stick with it...

I picked it up during their last sale for half off. It's really great! Love the mic'ing options. Still getting my bearings and finding settings that fit in a busy mix. Also picked up their Broken Wurly VI. I also have Pianoteq 4. I'm no piano player, so I can't comment on the nuances and feel, etc. I just think Hammersmith sounds great and is pretty tweakable! Great VI!

right on. I had wondered about it for quite a while. when I saw it was on sale, I read and listened to everything I could find about it. and ended up reading very negative stuff about it. and then a very awesome player and intelligent guy, at another forum made some comments, and I figured what the heck, give it a try. I like Ravenscroft, and the other ones I mentioned. but for me, Hammersmith is the one I've been looking for and hoping for. and I like it so much, that I thought that it was incumbent on me to share my thoughts with you guys. I fully understand how very subjective this all is. just because I like it, does not mean that you will too. that said, I am in freaking euphoria-ville about it. it has the sounds I've been wanting for years.

I may have seen it referred to on PianoWorld. but if I had to guess, the actual posts may have been on the site who's name should not be mentioned. if not there, then possibly Keyboard Corner. I don't think it was VI Control.

I just started working on a project and they used the Hammersmith for the piano - I gotta say I'm not mad about it! Sounds great, I don't own any so I may have to pick this up with the special pricing.

I've been on a bit of a piano VST kick lately. I've owned Ivory II for years, but picked up Pianoteq 5 Pro with the holiday sale and then picked up Ravenscroft on sale last night. I was really torn between the Ravenscroft and Hammersmith. So many choices. They are getting better, but I still long for the day when I have the coin and room for a real piano.

love Ravenscroft. having a hard time thinking of how to compare. I'm not gonna try to. I'll just say this. I like Hammersmith so much that I don't know any words to tell you how much. I am inspired by it. alot. I've been looking for this for years.

well, to my understanding, its a very subjective thing. my loving it to the maximum, in no way guarantees that you will too. you might not even like it. I'm not sure now about if there is any kind of demo. this is my first Native Instrument Kontakt thing. I will repeat though, I love Hammersmith. for me, (that is for ME), it peerless. it is sublime. I go crazy playing it.
