ELP was awesome back in the 1970's. Those shows were mind blowing. Compared to today's rather "tame" acts you don't see stuff like that anymore (showmanship and amazing chops). Today I see dancers.

It seems like ELP hit Boston every month in the early 70's. Saw them a few times at the Music Hall. Them and Humble Pie were frequent road warriors. What a busy year for the Grim Reaper!

Damn! I was a big ELP fan back in the day. The last year has been tough for those guys.

For a band know for progressive rock keyboards, I always liked this guitar arrangement and performance. Back in the day, it was one of those songs every young guitar player in town had to learn, along with "Needle And The Damage Done" and others.
RIP Greg Lake.

Greg Lake had a voice that could shake a football stadium and stir every heart therein. I might have to sing Father Christmas in his honor tonight.

Oh no. ELP was the soundtrack of my youth, well part of it anyway. RIP Greg, Lucky Man! Here's a nice interview with Lake and Palmer after Emerson died.
