I was wondering if there is a "graphical" compressor plugin, where I can see the waveform of a whole track, and graphically set the threshold for the peaks I want to compress/limit. I use Logic Pro X, so it needs to have an AU version.
Isn't this something that would be a nice feature for a DAW?

Thanks! Not sure if I can load a whole track into it, or just see what happens in real time (I have their limiter).
I actually found the exact thing I'm looking for in Sound Radix Drum Leveler, since I'm looking to tame a few stray bass drum hits.
The problem is that the hits are not only much too loud, but have a radically different sound, with lots of attack and little body.
Without resorting to drum replacing, what would be the tool for the job?
