Same mix. One hit a hardware SPL Passeq last in the chain, one hit the Plugin-Alliance emulation after coming back in the box. Same settings on both. drive.google.com/open?id=0Bym1m85ha75RRndvYWVfdkh2bUEWhat ya think? Also, note, not my tune, recording, or performance. Just my mix for fun and testing. The Artist is Wesley Morgan.

I like A. I wouldn't expect them to sound identical because the EQ is in a different place in the chain now. That matters, even all in the box.

I preferred A too, though I can't tell a huge amount of difference between them. This was just going back and forth on the Google drive page though, so there's some gapping between the clips for me (switching and finding my spot). I can't import into Pro Tools right now because of a dumb bug situation.

I thought there was a quite a bit of difference. In the A clip, the band mix was more focused and coherent. In B, it still sounded good, but was a bit more impressionistic compared to the clarity of A. I just listened to the mp3's.
Nice tune, performance and recording btw!

Brecht and Weill take the Three Penny Opera to Oklahoma. Cool song and performance. I didn't vote although the tail on A seemed to have just slightly more noise but so slight that perhaps I was being psyched out by my expectations. As probably everybody is going to be, blind tests without identifying which team you are already cheering for is probably going to make for a more interesting result. Check your PM for additional comment.....

Not mine, but had fun mixing it.

I think both are great. Great song great idea to do the song like this. I prefer A but I bet if you give B a little more bottom end it sounds more like A. I f matching plugs and hardware use your ears wiht plugs not numbers. When I ABd the Waves SSL Bundle the numbers did not hit the road.

"A" seemed to have more of a sheen or glow to it, so I preferred it a lot for that reason. Sounds expensive.

I need to go listen...
That being said, I would LOVE to find a cheap used Elysia MusEQ
