Just curious....
Is it possible to use a VP25 transformer in a VP28? I think I'd like a couple of vP25s but prefer the feature set of the VP28.
Thanks in advance!

What if you put a pair of VP28's in a 1RU rackmount chassis and move the transformers off of the PCB? not this product specifically, but DIY a case from dandeurloo that gives you enough space. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EL500

There is a difference is sound between the VP25 and VP28 and it's not just the transformer. The VP 25's sound has a little more bass than the VP26 and is open sounding. The VP28 being dual stage ( more circuits ) is a little more closed sounding. $400.00 for a case just to change the sound of the transformers in a VP28 is a little pricy. Maybe the LITZ transformers in the VP28 will give you the sound that you're looking for.

Looks like the wise move is a pair of VP25s.....but I'm saving my pennies for the new eqs!

2 vp25's followed by 2 Missing Links will give you what you're seeking. Problem solved!!!

I've been avoiding the ML's because I think the VP28's get me almost all the way there...
And I need to save my pennies for the new eqs:)
