what was the lunch box that caused a problem.. and what was the problem? I am looking for a second lunchbox power supply and saw the Alctron was it one of them? cheers Wiz It was a cheap ''NOS" snackbox by JRR shop. AVOID!!uh oh- looking at those alctron s3 and yup they are the same as the JRR snackbox tick for tat on the back. Looks like a couple of people are buying these and slapping their logo on em. Makes me highly doubtful about the other 500 series modules being released as well.

So I had a bunch of ceramic caps in the wrong place...waiting on the wife to bring home an Allen wrench and gen the moment of truth. If you're like me and blind as a bat, it's hard to read those tiny markings on those ceramics. Reading glasses and a magnifying glass is what it takes for me. BTW, here's a handy dandy little page to keep up while populating boards. Tells all the values by color code. It's much easier for me to work off a BOM referencing this website as I'm not as familiar with color coding as I should be. www.digikey.com/en/resources/conversion-calculators/conversion-calculator-resistor-color-code-4-band

I did one last night and it senses what is attached and spits out the value, which is pretty convenient. Only 8 bucks too. www.ebay.com/itm/291903357491

Yeah, I built it last night, for the purpose of testing old capacitors on a preamp that is broken. It is a plus that it also does resistor values and diodes and inductors and... Really quick too

Oh how I love technology!

Any thoughts from you guys after using these? Especially the LC25's? I built and use mine. I have had it for as long as they have been out. before getting it, I was worried that the controls would be too cramped and too difficult to read.. they are not. The byass switch is also easy to get to. The knobs are easy to use, again I was worried that would not be the case, I was wrong... again.. they are cool. Good sound and functionality..... I don't think you DIY, but if you do... the build is pretty straight forward and not difficult. What else would be good thats not there... make up gain is the only thing I can think of. jump on in, the water is fine cheers Wiz

I love, love, love the 560 but put some pink noise through a 560 with a curve set heck even flat, capture it in a high res RTA, now move the faders and try to recall that response! Suddenly you will be calling Jeff Suuuper Geeenuis ! BUT we must give credit to MR White, for those old White industries 31 Bands with Knobs, People laughed at my live rack That had them, They can be had cheap you can plug in Transformers they sound great and you can reacall a curve from settings without an anylizer. Not great for quick grabs in wedge world , for that he made them with Faders, Showco had a ton of them !
