Just getting into this. Anyone used it much? Wish there was a way for a control pad to learn the a cell. Like on the drums in Komplete, you can right click on the snare , click assign midi, then touch the pad on your hardware you want it assigned to. I haven't found a way to do it yet for cells in battery. Some really cool sounds in this! Are there loop libraries for battery?

Yeah you can get different libraries I believe but to be honest its been forever since I've used it. Kind of seemed like NI put battery on the back burner imo which is weird considering how realistic and versatile kontakt is. You'd figure they'd develop the closest things to real drums that is possible but it seems like SD or BFD or addictive are the bigger contenders and imo sound better.

The fact that there isn't a universal standard between DAW drum maps, controllers and these drum software offerings is really frustrating.

The fact that there isn't a universal standard between DAW drum maps, controllers and these drum software offerings is really frustrating. There is, but it is restricted to the GM drum mapping. All the drum samplers have a mode to either transmit according to this mapping(vdrums can do this) and receive it and map correctly(superior drummer has a GM mapping layout setting as does Addictive Drums) Quick google search revealed this www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/midi-mapping-in-battery-4.209460/

Love the way NI deals wih this in stuff like Abbey Roads Drums. Click on the drum, click learn and hit the pad. So much faster than everything else. Somewhat the same with superior.
