The Eagles are absolutely one of my favorite groups ever...I really believe there's a HUGE chasm in music right now for someone like the Eagles.

I remember watching Glenn Frey and the Eagles on television in the early 70's playing the lead lick to "Already Gone", singing the lead vocal and playing the lead solo. He was the coolest guy I ever saw.
Those early tv clips of him singing "Take It Easy", "Tequila Sunrise" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling" are classic stuff.
RIP to a great singer, guitarist, songwriter and bandleader. He was one of those rare guys who could do it all, including tacking a backseat to Don Henley when he thought it was best for the band. A huge loss for music and fans from my generation.

And Dallas Taylor passed away too--great drummer with CSN&Y and Manassas. Here's a LINK of Dallas with Manassas. And his drumming on Deja Vu was perfect.

What a footprint he left. So many great songs, you don't realize sometimes just how much they get woven into the history of your own life. Makes me want to turn the clock back to 21, move to California and buy a convertible.
Not that I had a convertible when I was 21, or lived in California for that matter...
