Never met him, but he is one of my favorite Songwriters and he lived in the 80s here in Berlin Germany.

For Gods sake! Just out of the blue. Gone. Not so much out of the blue, but into the blue... If you know your songs touch millions... I think you can pass away with a smile in your face. Isn't it a gift if you stay creative until it hits you.

Another great, and true hero, who will be sadly missed, and wrote his own memorial song....
Rest in peace. God bless, you, child of Christ.

I just did a listening burst of his stuff last week when i heard he was coming out with a new record..., i was thinking.. "man, this guy is just a beast, and still going, i hope to maintain a level of creativity that resembles a spec of what he's surely thrown into the waste basket over the years", David Bowie RIP Star Man

Thx Donr, never heard or seen that before, very touching and evocative. To me, that is the essence of Bowie< a creative person who was uncompromising in the pursuit of his artistic vision; truly gifted and an original !

That was the single, released before The Next Day album came out. I heard it on iTunes, bought it, then the album. I thought, 'man, this guy hasn't lost a step.' I like it much better not watching the video.

I am truly shocked and saddened by this loss...an undeniably brilliant and original force on the music and pop-culture landscape for over five decades...I had the opportunity to spend an evening discussing his music and influences, one-to-one with David Bowie in the mid 70's, at the peak of his fame...so humble, so gifted, so deep...one of my most memorable experiences...I mourn his passing and give thanks for the musical legacy he has blessed us with... Sleep Well, Thin White Duke!
