They call me Eric in the video. Chris Walken is amazing. Horatio Sanz an unsung hero. How about that Sonex foam? $279 for a box of 10 2' x2'.

I like how Jimmy Fallon could barely keep it together.

I like how Jimmy Fallon could barely keep it together. I've watched the video more times in the last week, then in my whole life. a careful view, (the way it looks to me): - Ferrell very very slightly starts to laugh - Fallon hears Farrell stifling laughter - which causes Fallon to lose it (and start laughing). Chris Kattan too. thank you for the clarification on you being called Eric, Don. I had thought that you must have been being portrayed by Kattan on the left playing the Les Paul. Chris Parnell plays you (called Eric). he is soooo funny in this too. when I was a teenager, I considered it a true badge of how cool I was, having bought the BOC album with Reaper on it. truly madly loved that song. and played the album alot. hey, just made the connection: these days I am super into Astrophysics. I loved your song Astronomy, bomp bomp, chicka chicka ba bomp bomp, of stars................

that skit is so good. It's strange that is has had such a cultural echo. T-shirts and everything. I guess Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken are a potent combination, along with a legendary song to begin with.

As much as people come up to BOC and say, "More Cowbell!" imagine how it must be for Christopher Walken, with all he's done in his career, to have people come up to him and say, "More Cowbell!"

Man, that's a great guitar sound ! It really is. Hey donr, care to elaborate on that classic clean rhythm on "Reaper"? I've always found it to be kind of enchanting. It's obviously got some long verb on it. Tele neck pickup? Total guess.

I like how Jimmy Fallon could barely keep it together. That's really one of the reason's it's so famous.... none of them could help laughing at Ferrell and Walken. It's probably the best skit on SNL until you get back into 70s and 80s. Of course, Colonel Angus was amazing as well. I guess we should all hope to one day wear "Gold Plated Diapers"

FYI, this got viral among musicians here in Sweden too when it appeared on YouTube 10-15 yrs ago. Since then, everytime you do a cowbell overdub there is some kind of joking, either by saying the magic words or by mimicing Ferrell.
