Yes. It really boils down to preference. Much like anything else in life, there are pros and cons of each style of DAC. (BTW, multibit doesn't really mean anything as ANY DAC can be multibit.)
R/2R DACs are kinda trendy right now in the audiophile world, but ultimately do the same job as Sigma/delta DACs.
In fact, the general usage of R/2R DACs in just about every other situation has died in favor of delta/sigma. Delta/sigma has better specs in nearly all areas of performance, especially linearity, due to the matching of the resistor networks needed for R/2R. Delta/Sigma is also cheaper as the ladders are hard to make.
But in terms of euphonics, the non-linearities that arise from the ladder switching and matching might please some folks, as they induce harmonic distortions similar to those of tubes.
Personally, I would buy whatever floats your boat, but professionally I would go with Delta/Sigma every time, and I have in my DAC design.

Then I guess these are designed to meet the needs of a consumer market rather than producers/engineers working in a professional environment.. somewhat disappointed but at least, I've learned something new!
