According to the Dizengoff site the D864 is now shipping. Anyone on RGO heard it yet?

Can't wait to hear your first impressions winetree. I'm hoping this will kill my LA2A/Sta-Level lust for a vocal compressor.

Better be Xtra nice to gf as diz stuff is limited production runs , e.g., D4 is just about done, so available for under a year.

I can't answer for Matt but it seems he likes the challenge of bringing something new to market post D4 he is looking at 2 other pres.
I think he did 2 runs of d4s: I got one in each.
So early days for 864 , I have one coming but I will decide soon about ordering a second.

I guess.. buy one now, put one on lay by (do they have that in the USA?) or secondhand down the track is the only way. cheers Wiz PS any specs on the comp? in particular headroom?

It's not that I'm suggesting it's a hard selling tactic or anything like that - in fact, I wonder that for many who haunt these forums and collect and trade, they may even like that they will have a limited edition - but that's not where my motivations lie. I want something that I'm going to use and keep - and knowing/suspecting I can't (easily) get another one down the line is more of a detriment to me. I was thinking of picking up a D864 to go in the chain with it, and maybe down the line another D4 and D864 for stereo piano work, but that would probably be a couple years down the line. I guess I was hoping that he wouldn't go all boutiquey. I'm thinking that these are price points where, if Matt sticks to his guns, he could make serious in-roads. If, on the other hand, he's looking to improve the product with a few more iterations before taking things to the next level, then maybe I'm better off sitting tight.

Did anyone here ever get one of the D864s? No samples yet, and they've "been shipping" for months. Hmmmm.... wanted to check one out, but so far, not a single example here. If anyone has one, how about some info and perhaps a few samples?

Haven't gotten mine yet. Paid a deposit for pre-order. I wrote to them a few weeks ago and was reassured I'd have it soon but...

Can't wait to hear about this too. I really like having something that's pro, but not necessarily the same as everyone else.
The Dizengoff D4 to me is a gem. I wish I could afford an 'extra" one. I'd be jazzed if this was in the realm of a Sta-level or LA2A for lead vocal tracking. My WA76 covers bass and acoustic guitar if I need it to. I have the Warm EQP-1A, which is sweet, but I wish I had two for EQ'ing the final mix with hardware.
Maybe it'l all come together in the in the New Year.

My guess is they'll start shipping sooner than later. My D4 was motor-boating intermittently so Matt paid the shipping on the return. Of course, it's just like dropping you car off with your mechanic; everything sounds fine at first, but Matt was persistent - eventually confirmed the problem, made a repair and said he would be testing 864's with it for the rest of the day. That can't be bad news for those of you who have pre-ordered them.
