the $150 dollar studio

so I have a confession, i'm a bit of a tight ass when it comes to audio gear. fortunately I have this funky thing going on with the number 150. I keep finding gear bargain that cost me $150. over the years it's become really obvious so now I refer to it as the 150 dollar studio.

I got reminded today when I got my gefell pm860 mics back from a service. they cost me $150 ea when I bought them.

recently I picked up the orban 418a for a cool $150

my art vla cost me. yep $150. the symetrix 501. yep, $150 dollars.

I bought a pair of atm450 mics a few months back. yep. $150 ea.

my favourite mics for doing anything and everything the ksm137 set me back. yep. 150.........

ev 635a pair. um. 150.......

my Yamaha d1500 delays. well those puppies were $150 ea as well.

got a pair of those cp5 preamps. bugger me they were $150 ea.

my bloody lunch box guitar amps. the blackheart and the big white monkey. $150 ea.....

it's ridiculous.

sure I've got some more expensive gear like the lolas, the lunch box, guitars, other amps, some rack gear and all of the gear my music partner chipped in but for me i'm getting funky at 150.
