yeah, now I'm thinking of getting the 1990, which is their JCM800/900 clone.
The 6262 is a grind monster. High gain for days! it can still sound great, even when turned down.
Most metal players don't turn up that loud anyway, and the tone comes from the preamp sections, so 120W doesn't mean much.

Let me keep thinking that I'm covered with my Mesa pair and Orange pair and Bassman. Haha.

I'm very tempted. But the purist in me has to hold out for the real Peavey... I guess because I don't need a high gain monster amp that bad anyway. And I don't have a place to play loud right now. SO the V22HD looks like exactly the Bugera head I want to get.
$200 is a crazy deal though. That's what I paid for my freakin' champ 600. I'd probably rather splurge on the dbx 560A deal for $200 that's going on sweetwater right now.
I'm slightly emotionally attached to the original Peavey amp since it's something I've heard and recorded a lot, hence the purism. You can get a Peavey on ebay for $500-700.
The name of this website should be Real Deals Online! people got their sensors out for this stuff

Some of the Bugeras are Clones and some of them are true builds like the Vintage 22 .... which will be my next buy..... the Vintage 5 is in the Studio great for Blues to Rock, in conjunction with the well known TS10 you can get some nice higher gain sounds too, but true high gain is not the V5 domain. For Blues lovers a must have think Vintage think SRV.... from Lenny to Pride and Joy...... The 22 is for me a clear winner for clean sounds......
To me Behringers proofs that old 50s designs can be build for a fair mrsp withot paying for a big name brand..... I like them....

they've got a lot of Bugeras on sale at MF right now. 1990, 333, the BC-30 was $350 yesterday, etc. check it out if you need an amp, just search "Bugera"
I'm torn between those and the new Universal Audio UAD plugin sales, and the DBX 560A sale. Haha. We shall see...

This is based on the 900, not the revered 800 right? I'm under the impression that it won't be the balls, but it's soooo cheap it's hard to resist at least giving it a go.

Yeah, I also read that it's a 900 clone, but I had an older 900 in the studio and it was definitely pretty sweet sounding. For 250 it's hard not to give it a try.

It's getting more and more difficult to find much at Musicians' "Friend" that isn't made in China. So... much... junk...
