Yeah, routing looks at each piece as separate. Interface. Computer. AVB Mixer. AVB streams. Makes more sense if you think about it as a network, as if you had multiple AVB devices and computers placed around a stadium complex at great distance. Shrink that thought process to a single unit in your office and it adds up.

Do you have input monitoring selected in pro tools? here's a cheesy video explaining it:

are you on pro tools 12.1? if you don't see the green "I" to press on your channels try pressing alt+K on your keyboard. that should enable input monitoring

The input button is there lights up I did a track with the input button in but couldn't hear it but went ahead and recorded guitar without hearing just to check recording then did another track same way without hearing . Could not hear either track while recording (2 t racks done separate) both play back I have mixbuss also and I can record and playback just fine with it

you dont even need input monitoring if youre hardware monitoring, or routing the signal back out. the track should actually be muted or youll hear two signals slightly delayed.
in routing window:
1. route "analog in" (horizontal) 1-16 to "to computer" (vertical) 1-16. 1 in to 1 out. 2 in to 2 out etc. this send your hardware inputs to PT's inputs.
2, route "from computer" (horizontal) 3-16 to "analog out" (vertical) 3-16. this sends PT's outs to hardware outs.
3. route Mix Main" (horizontal) L/R to "Analog out" (vertical) 1-2. this sends your monitor mix from PT 1-2 outputs to your hardwares 1-2 outputs.
4. under "to computer" (vertical) is "Mix In.) route the the track you wish to direct monitor to any available ln. ex. "analog in" (horizontal) 3-4 to "mix in" (vertical) 3-4. this send hardware input directly to hardware output.
In mixing window:
1. select the tracks you wish to monitor under "MIXER INPUTS." for this ex. you should select "ANALOG 3-4" this will allow you to control the level of the track you want to direct monitor.
2. press the little matrix symbol above the "Main Mix" slider. select Analog 1-2. this makes analog 1-2 hardware your main output.
hope thats more clear.

Avid after 4 hours fixed it they just said they trashed pro tools and reinstalled it also said there was a known bug in the meters of pro tools 12. 1 doesn't effect the interface though. Long story short I'm a happy camper

after settling down from 4 day of messing with this my final thought is set up would have been very easy if pro tools had acted like it should have
