I missed this announcement first time around. Great idea, although it seems like there oughta be line level imputs defaulted to the unused slots in the rack. I suppose that'd require place keeper modules you'd have to buy..

This is stereo isn't it?? Pan pots would mean L/R buss.... so, if you can fill that with VP28's and then have the sound of Neve as the summing amp/transformer this would sound absolutely killer I bet. Sure gives me some ideas on the Summing unit I'm designing for myself right now.... I like this idea and it takes a lot of engineering out of getting it built and operational.
Might have to take some inspirations from this.

Hey svart, does this make sense. It says that it's passive summing, but with a Class A 2n3055 driven, transformer-based output stage. Any thoughts from a guy with some knowledge (unlike me)?

Yeah, it just means that it's a passive resistor summing network with makeup gain afterwards via a 1073 style amp.
