It looks like the three, KT, Warm and Lindell is following each other in the line pretty tight. This is op amp though, so differs a little.
What I keep wondering about is why in these day so few put out stereo units. iGS, manley, retro, stam, maybe some others… but all and all with the hw market today, you would think it would be a great selling point. Pretty much everyone who does analog or hybrid will have some stereo units for bus work, but even itb mixers might end up with a bus comp or eq if nothing else. Just a thought.

This may just be what I was looking for and the price is just right ! I was looking to add some "weight " "color" to my signal chain and was debating between the Bereich Density, Neve 542 Tape , or EQ.

Except the JLM clone has a big fat transformer and a bunch of extra freqs. The low end is pretty unbeatable IME. Still curious to hear the new Lindell! |

That description could use a bit of polish though. Not sure if it's Front End's or Lindell's.
In the features-
-The *4* stepped HF frequencies are 5 frequencies.
-The bandwidth control goes from 0-10 *khz*.
-The High Freq Boost Control: 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, *19*, 12, 14, and 16 kHz
This statement regarding why this 1731 opamp design has advantages over a tube design is particularly interesting:
"A faster transient response with a smooth, creamy, punchy character."
I thought the 1731 (and the 2520 used in the Pultec SS 500 series EQP-500X) were relatively slow slew rate opamps. I guess the description means faster transient response than a vapacitor-tube circuit. Also, punchy and fast-transient don't sound like they'd be coming from the same opamp that sounds smooth and creamy.
The LiNTEC is only ~25% of the price of the SS 500 series Pultec EQP-500X though so it will be interesting to hear a shootout between them. The LiNTEC 1731 should be a bit more colored than the Pultec 2520?

Speaking of purple, I really like the EQH-2 on mix buss, it's a bit cleaner than the EQP-1a which I like for that application. |
